Recipe of Sooji Dosa | Puda | Semolina Chilla

How to make Sooji Dosa | Puda | Chilla 

This is delicious, easy and healthy recipe for breakfast. Semolina (Sooji) is available in every kitchen. It is an instant and easy to make dosa. This is famous among kids too, they love to have it. You can serve it with Mint (Pudina) Chutney or Tamarind (Imli) chutney.You can also serve it with sambar.

Lets start with the recipe :

Ingredients :
For Aloo (Potato) stuffing
  • 4 boiled potato (mashed)
    sooji dosa, Semolina chilla, sooji puda
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 2 onions (chopped)
  • 2 green chillies (chopped) (optional)  
  • 7 or 8 leaves of kadi patta (Curry leaves)
  • Salt according to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilly powder (Optional)
  • a pinch of heeng (asafoetida)

Ingredients :
For Sooji Dosa/puda/chilla
  • 2 cup sooji
  • 3 tablespoon yogurt
  • Salt according to taste
  • water
  • olive oil

Preparation :
For Potato stuffing :
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a non-stick pan
  2. add mustard seeds, wait till it splutters
  3. add kadi patta (curry leaves), hing (asafoetida), onions and green chillies
  4. Once onion turns light brown add mashed potato to it
  5. add turmeric,chaat masala, garam masala, chilly powder and salt to it
  6. mix it and cook for 5 min
Preparation :
For Sooji Dosa/puda/chilla Batter
  1. Take sooji in a bowl
  2. add yogurt, salt and water in it
  3. Mix well
  4. Keep it aside for 5 minutes
  5. Your batter is ready
Preparation :
For Sooji Dosa/puda/chilla 

    1. Heat non-stick tawa 
    2. Once tawa is hot, add 1/2 teaspoon olive oil and spread it all over
    3. put flame on low/simmer and pour sooji batter
    4. spread it in a round shape and let it cook from both the sides
    5.  once done add stuffing to it and fold it
    6. Serve hot with mint chutney, tamarind chutney or sambar
