How to make Bread Poha for breakfast 

Bread Poha is an easy and delicious recipe for breakfast. It is mildly spiced and perfect mix of flavors\. It is a refreshing and comforting light breakfast with lemon juice squeezed on the top. It is light yet filling. It is a breakfast that can be made in jiffy and can be made with the basic ingredients available in every kitchen.

I have used whole wheat bread for the making bread poha, you can also use multigrain bread or oat bread. Squeezed lemon, Indian spices and tomatoes gives it a tangy, spicy and perfect taste. It is an easy breakfast and tea time snack. You can pack it for kids tiffin too. It is relished by kids too. You can add your choice of vegetables too. It is healthy, quick and filling breakfast.

Lets start with the recipe :

Ingredients : 
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil / refine oil
  • 1 teaspoon jeera (cumin seeds)
  • 1/4 teaspoon sarso (mustard seeds)
  • Pinch of hing (Asafoetida)
  • 4 pieces of bread
  • 2 sliced onion
  • 4 crushed tomato
  • 1 green chilli
  • salt according to taste
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1/2 tablespoon chaat masala
  • 1/2 tablespoon pepper
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
Preparation :
  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and asafoetida
  2. When they splutter, add sliced onion, green chilli in the same
  3. Wait for onion to turn dark pink and add crushed tomato in the same
  4. Let it cook on simmer for 2 min
  5. Cut bread in small square pieces and add 
  6. Add salt, chaat masala and pepper in the same
  7. Mix well and cook for 1 minute
  8. Add lemon and mix
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot
