How to make Stuffed Capsicum with Potato filling | Bharwal shimla Mirch | Stuffed bell pepper
This yummy recipe is of stuffed capsicum with potato filling and a rich gravy which is also called as bharwa shimla mirch with curry in hindi. It is a delicious lunch and dinner dish served with Chapati/Roti or rice.

Stuffed Capsicum with potato filling |
- Olive oil / Refine oil
- 4 Boiled Potatoes
- 4 Capsicum
- 1/2 teaspoon jeera (Cumin seeds)
- 2 green chillies (Optional)
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt according to taste
For Gravy :
- 1 teaspoon jeera (cumin seeds)
- 6 cloves of garlic (Optional)
- 2 chopped green chillies
- 2 finely chopped onions
Tomato Gravy - 8 crushed tomato's
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt according to taste
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
Preparation :
For stuffed capsicum and potato filling :
- Heat 2 teaspoon oil in a pan, add cumin seeds in the same
- When they splutter, add green chillies and add mashed potato in the same
- Add chaat masala, garam masala and salt
- Roast it for 5 minutes on simmer and mix it well
- When done keep stuffing aside
- Take capsicums and cut their top and empty them from inside
- Stuff them with potato filling
- Shallow fry them in a big non-stick pan, you can cook 3 at a time
- Roast it from all the sides except top
- Keep it aside
For Gravy :

- Heat oil in a pan, add jeera in it
- When they splutter, add chopped garlic, onion and green chillies
- When onions turn light brown, add crushed tomato's
- Cook for 2 minutes on simmer
- Add chaat masala, garam masala, coriander powder and salt
- Mix well and cook for 1 more minute
- Add stuffed capsicum to the gravy
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot
Note : You can cut capsicum in 2 pieces, that would make it easy to serve
