Left over yellow moong dal cutlet

How to make cutlet of LEFT OVER yellow moong dal  |  yellow mung bean cutlets

When you have leftover yellow split moong dal in your fridge and you are confused about using it. You can try this recipe and make a delicious breakfast snack. This cutlet recipe is easy to make and would be relished by all.

Moong dal dough

  • 1 bowl left over split yellow moong dal
  • 2 boiled potatoes
  • 2 whole wheat bread
  • 2 teaspoon corn flour
  • Salt according to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 chopped green chilly
  • Olive oil / refine oil
Preparation :
  1. Take a bowl and add left over dal, green chilly and mashed potatoes
    Deep frying
  2. Then crumble bread and add broken crumbled bread in the mixture
  3. Add cornflour, salt, chaat masala, pepper in it
  4. Mix it well and form a dough
  5. Divide it into 8 portions
  6. Make round balls like cutlets
  7. Take a pan and add oil for deep frying 
  8. When oil is heated, add cutlet balls in it
  9. Cook on medium flame
  10. When they turn golden brown from both the sides, they are done
  11. Serve hot with tomato Ketchup

Note : You can shallow fry the cutlets too. Add 2 more teaspoon of corn flour for shallow frying.

  3. hi its a hood recipe but when i make it at home i usually add an egg to mixture to avoid breaking i m surprised how your tikki is so well formed and compact without egg
