Moong Sprouts Salad Recipe

How to make Moong Sprouts Salad
It is simple, easy to make, healthy and delicious salad.  It's tangy Indian flavor makes it a yummy snack too. You can refrigerate the sprouted moong for few days, and can make this salad instantly by boiling and adding veggies.

Ingredients :

  • 2 cup sprouted moong dal (Sprouted Mung Bean)
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 2 chopped green chilly (Optional)
  • 1 chopped yellow bell pepper(Capsicum)
  • 1 chopped cucumber
  • Half bowl chopped pieces of Panner/Tofu
  • Salt according to taste
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1 lemon

Preparation :

  1. Sprout the moong dal and boil it in a pressure cooker with little water
  2. Pressure cook it for 1 whistle, and strain the water
  3. Keep it aside and let them cool
  4. In a bowl, add sprouts, onion, tomato, cucumber, bell pepper, green chilly, paneer and mix well
  5. Add salt, pepper, chaat masala, and lemon in it
  6. Toss well and serve immediately
Note :
  •  If you want to pack this salad for tiffin, don't add salt and lemon to it, keep them separately.
  • Don't steam and boil them a lot, otherwise they will loose the crunchy taste
  • Ingredients can vary, you can add whatever you like and can subtract what you don't like
  • You can refrigerate raw sprouts for 3 to 4 days
