How to make Chickpeas Salad

Recipe of Chickpeas Salad | Chane ki chaat

Chickpeas salad also called as 'chane ki chaat' in India is a healthy, protein rich, delicious salad. It is quick to prepare if you have boiled chickpeas ready in your refrigerator. This is super healthy salad which is full of flavors of Indian spices and has a tangy taste of lemon juice. It is vegan and gluten free. You can add your choice of veggies and fruits in it to make it healthier. It is a filling salad which is best for lunch boxes too. This bright, colorful and crunchy salad is famous among kids too. They like it's crispy and tangy flavor. Chickpeas salad in not only healthy and yummy, it is the easiest salad you have ever made. It is simple and refreshing salad seasoned with Indian herbs and lime.

Ingredients :
  • 1 cup boiled chickpeas
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 1 chopped cucumber
  • 2 boiled potatoes chopped
  • 2 chopped green chillies (optional)
  • Salt according to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 lime
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
Preparation :
  1. Take a bowl, add chickpeas in it
  2. Add tomatoes, onions, cucumber, potatoes, green chillies in it and mix well
  3. Add salt, chaat masala, pepper and lime juice in it
  4. Toss well
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Note :
  1. Chaat masala in an Indian spice available in an Indian store
  2. You can add your choice of veggies in the salad
  3. You can add mint and tamarind chutney in the same.

    as chickpeas are not only high in dietary fiber but excellent source of protein, iron, vitamin B-6 and magnesium.
