Recipe of Peas Rice
Peas Pulav is a delicious one pot meal. It is quick, nutritious and flavorful. It is easy to cook, healthy and absolutely scrumptious. Peas pulav are rich aromatic rice which can be quickly made on a busy day. It is a comforting rice which goes well with any curry dish too. You can serve it as a stand alone dish or a side dish. It tastes great with a a bowl of raita, pickle and papad. The best part about it is that it is very easy to make and filling too. It is packed with spice and flavor. It is best for lunch boxes and relished by kids too.

Ingredients :
- 1 1/2 cup rice
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (Jeera)
- 1 cup peas
- 2 sliced onions
- 2 chopped green chillies
- 8 chopped cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon chopped ginger
- 1/4 cup raisins
- Salt according to taste
- Pinch of asafoetida (Hing)
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- Oil
Preparation :
- Soak rice in water for 30 minutes
- In a pressure cooker, pour 1 tablespoon of oil and add cumin seeds, garlic cloves and green chillies
- Add onion and let it cook until it turn golden brown
- Add peas and cook it for a minute
- Add garam masala, coriander powder, and salt in it and mix
- Add raisins, rice and 2 cup of water or water as required
- Let it cook till one whistle and then let it cool down
- Serve hot with yogurt or raita
