How to make Bread Spinach Chilly Pakora

Recipe of Bread Spinach Chilly Pakora

Bread Spinach Chilly Pakora is a crispy savory fritter prepared by coating the bread with gram flour mixture of spinach, green chilly and paprika. It is very easy to prepare and a perfect snack. It can be made in jiffy. It is a famous breakfast and tea-time snack.

These pakoras can be served with tamarind and Mint Chutney. They are crisp from outside and soft from inside. They tastes amazing when serve hot.

Lets start with the recipe :

Ingredients : 
  • 1 cup besan (Gram flour)
  • 3 pieces of whole wheat bread
  • Few chopped spinach leaves
  • 2 chopped green chillies 
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt according to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1 teaspoon pepper 
  • 1 teaspoon jeera powder (cumin  powder)
  • 1/2 teaspoon amchur (mango powder) 
  • Oil for deep frying
Preparation :
  • Take besan (Gram flour) in a bowl
  • Add salt, spinach, green chilly and paprika in the same
  • Add water in it and whisk it in smooth batter, make sure no lumps are formed
  • Batter should be of medium consistency (not too thick and not too watery)
  • Cut slices of bread from the center in two pieces , keep it aside
  • In a bowl, add salt, pepper, chaat masala, mango powder, jeera powder and mix it well
  • Spread masala evenly on the bread
  • Heat oil in a shallow pan for deep frying
  • When it is hot, dip bread in the besan batter and drop it in the oil
  • Keep the flame medium, and let pakora cook from both the sides
  • When it turns golden from both the sides, take them out on a tissue or oil absorbent paper
  • Sprinkle some chaat masala on the top of pakoras
  • You can cut them into pieces 
  • Serve hot with Mint Chutney and tamarind chutney.
